Since its foundation in 1955, Awacamenj Mino (an Algonquin term meaning ‘‘Better than the better’’) is the biggest outdoor recreational base in the area. The campground measures 750 acres, and nearly 2 km of its territory borders Lake Isabel (also know as lac de l’ÃŽle in french). Open year-round, we are located deep in the forest at 75 km north of Ottawa-Gatineau.
